Registered Nurse RN - NICU Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
About the Role
Registered Nurse responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post-delivery stabilization through discharge.
Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates in the NICU.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Utilize the chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriate care for neonates.
- Provide direct patient care to neonates within the scope of practice.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- NRP (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Schedule
Full-Time, Day 12-Hour Shift with rotating weekends.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
