About the role

The New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health offers a comprehensive training experience for recent nursing graduates. This program is accredited by the ANCC and provides a collaborative learning environment to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients.
  • Develop and revise a plan of care based on patient needs and assessment data.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with other caregivers and update patient records accordingly.
  • Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of teaching.
  • Delegating tasks to other licensed nurses and supervising their work.
  • Interact with various departments, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts.
  • Provide spiritual support as needed.

Requirements

  • Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN preferred, but ADN is accepted at select locations.
  • Current BLS card.
  • No more than 12 months of RN experience.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work.
  • One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is desired.

Skills

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and standards.

Pay

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations.
