Registered Nurse RN, Neuroscience

About the Role

At Saint Francis Hospital, the Neuroscience Unit provides multidisciplinary care to patients with neurological conditions such as acute stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders, and epilepsy. This is a part-time, night-shift position (12-hour shifts).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and respond to patients’ clinical status.
• Assist with hyperacute and acute treatment and support.
• Encourage and facilitate patient rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university-affiliated nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
• Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Certification (TSC).
• 2022 and 2023 Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus Target: Stroke Honor Roll, Target: Stroke Type II Diabetes Honor Roll.
