Role Overview

The RN Clinical Nurse – Critical Care is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They perform the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practices, critical thinking, and cultural awareness to deliver individualized care aligned with organizational standards and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, fostering partnership with patients and families.
• Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication and documentation, supporting a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practices, promoting safety and quality outcomes.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting professional development and maintaining clinical competencies.
• Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and system-wide care planning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Less than one year of clinical experience required; direct patient care experience preferred.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (single or multi-state), with required certifications including BLS and ACLS, including instructor and provisional statuses.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
