Registered Nurse - RN - Neuro ICU

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions
• Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications

Department Details

The 16-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) is located within a Level 1 trauma hospital and designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing specialized care for patients with critical neurological conditions. Staffed by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team offering state-of-the-art interventions such as various SAH management (coiling, clipping, diverting, and vasospasm control).
