Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Participates in an entry level orientation and Preceptorship training program for a period of eighteen weeks.
• Assumes the role of an Associate Clinical Nurse with principal responsibilities for total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of each assigned patients.
• Initiates teaching and educates the patient and family or significant other to attain optimal health.
• Access to all Patient Health Information for treatment purposes only.

Qualifications

• Required: Current CA Registered Nurse License
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Required: Current American Heart Association BLS certification (maintain current at all times)
• Required: Effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and able to maintain positive working relationships with parents, families, and co-workers
• Required: Possess active listening skills
• Required: Compassionate and non-judgmental care giver and advocate
• Required: Able to independently manage multiple priorities
• Required: Must comply with Respiratory Fit Testing Protection Policy
