About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Mother/Baby Unit at the New Brunswick campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
• Maintain awareness of own knowledge and experience, advancing skills through communication and available resources.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• At least 2–5 years of mother/baby nursing experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
• Maternal Newborn/Obstetrics certification.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 – $71.72 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
