Registered Nurse (RN) / MedSurg / Telemetry (Tele) - Nights

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients during night shifts.
• Monitor patient vitals, assess changes, and respond per hospital protocol.
• Administer medications and treatments with accurate documentation and safety checks.
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns promptly to ensure patient safety.
• Care coordination with multidisciplinary team and clear communication of updates.
• Document care plans, procedures, and outcomes in electronic health records.
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a sterile, safe work environment.
• Demonstrate accountability for personal workload and meet unit target metrics.
• Utilize data and metrics to monitor personal performance and patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to illness and treatment plan.
• Support professional development through ongoing learning and certification opportunities.
• Maintain readiness for on-site shifts with reliable attendance and shift punctuality.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment with no sanctions.
• 2+ years in Med-Surg or Telemetry, with night-shift experience preferred.
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate documentation.
• Vital signs monitoring, escalating changes per protocol within minutes.
• Medication administration with verification and safety checks per hospital protocol.
• CPR/BLS certification current at time of hire.
• Infection control adherence and sterile technique in all procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining teamwork and clear communication.
• Strong patient and family education, tailored to illness and treatment.
• Reliability for on-site night shifts with punctual attendance.

Pay

$2916 per 48 hours
