About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care on a 36-bed unit with a focus on Oncology patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans based on assessments.
- Monitor and document patient conditions.
- Collaborate across disciplines for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families tailored to their needs.
- Delegate tasks to ancillary staff.
- Precept students or new hires as needed.
- Ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Support team communication and patient education.
- Foster a supportive, team-oriented environment with growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year RN experience.
- New graduates welcome.
Schedule
- Work two 12-hour night shifts weekly.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations.
