About the Role
At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical Unit delivers patient care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Continuously assess patients’ conditions, monitor vitals, administer orders and medications, and document progress throughout the patients’ stay.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care.
- Work closely with all physicians and healthcare provider staff for close monitoring of neurological statuses, cognitive functions, motor skills, sensory responses, and other therapies.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN License in Connecticut.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Med/Surg experience in an acute inpatient setting.
