Registered Nurse RN Medical Surgical

About the role

The Banner Estrella Medical Center Medical/Surgical 5A Unit is seeking a Full-Time Night RN. This position is available in the Medical Surgical department and works shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.
• Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members.
• Provides care based on evidence and may participate in research activities.
• Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts concerning the health care of the patient.
• Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
