About the role
Join our Med/Surg Observation team in Sheboygan, where you'll care for patients requiring short-term, focused monitoring and rapid clinical decision-making. This unit offers a fast-paced environment that strengthens assessment skills, clinical judgment, and efficiency in care transitions. Major Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for patients requiring short-term monitoring and evaluation.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families throughout the continuum.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, efficient, and effective patient outcomes.
- Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and enhance patient outcomes.
- Apply evidence-based practices and promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, intervening appropriately, and maintaining a safe care environment.
- Support professional development by completing required education, maintaining certifications, and seeking opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Licensure & Certification: RN license in applicable state; BLS required (additional certifications may be required based on specialty).
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Experience: Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Pay
Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30
Schedule
Variated- Full and Part-time positions. 7a-7p and 7p-7a.
