Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg - Night Shift

Southeast Georgia Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to join our 5 Surgical Tower team in Brunswick, GA on the night shift. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Manage assigned patient care using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practices
• Deliver care utilizing standardized guidelines, appropriate resources, and interdisciplinary collaboration
li>Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions, including post-surgical care, wound care, injuries, and observation needs
• Communicate effectively with physicians, care teams, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes
• Promote safety, quality, and service excellence at all times
• Develop nursing diagnoses and individualized plans of care, including patient and family education
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with Health System policies
• Review diagnostic test results and take appropriate clinical action
• Evaluate and reassess nursing interventions and revise care plans as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first week of orientation (required and maintained)
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP, as applicable to unit, within 6 months of hire

• Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills compliant with Georgia nursing practice laws
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Positive interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and elderly populations
