Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice on the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and supervise activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care and be directly responsible and accountable for assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
