About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical joining our team at Los Alamos Medical Center is part of a diverse healthcare network dedicated to enhancing community health. This role involves providing direct patient care, collaborating across disciplines, and educating patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process within established scope and standards, including medication administration, treatments, and daily living assistance.
- Maintains vigilance over patient conditions, promptly reports status changes, and prioritizes care based on urgency.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, transfers, and discharges, addressing psychosocial and spiritual needs.
- Educates patients and families based on individual needs and advocates for their physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Current state RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
Schedule
3x12, 4x10, 5x8 shifts, alternating days and nights, rotating weekends, every 3rd weekend, and on-call, holidays, etc.
Pay
