About the role
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Review physician prescriptions and communicate care plans to the healthcare team.
- Develop and update nursing care plans based on resident assessments and medical histories.
- Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends.
- Teach residents and families about health conditions, medications, and self-care.
- Monitor and evaluate resident progress; adjust care as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and medication protocols.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of care equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Supervise nursing assistants and staff workflow.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the practice state.
- Visual and communication skills sufficient to perform job duties.
Qualifications
Preferred 1-3 years of clinical or long-term care experience.
