Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Acute Care - $40-55 per hour

Select Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Long Term Acute Care for a nursing job in Stowe, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the nursing care plan is followed by being a Champion of the Select Medical Way.
• Adhere to all operative, invasive procedure policies, standards, and relevant bundles.
• Follow all documentation procedures and review physician documentation for compliance.
• Perform non-procedural duties such as central line care, PICC insertions, assisting with wound care, admissions, patient teaching, IV care, and patient transport.
• Participate in QAPI and Infection Control Committees.
• Manage decontamination, processing, sterilization, and storage of supplies and instruments.
• Schedule and supervise invasive procedures.
• Maintain medication and controlled substance management.
• Monitor and manage procedure room emergency equipment and supplies.
• Keep applicable departmental logs and records, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative records, daily log, surgical/procedural log book, temperature log, humidity log, sterilization log, and specimen log.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding of patient needs, ensuring informed and understood patients.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• ACLS required or completed prior to end of orientation period.
• PICC qualified preferred.
• Operative or procedure room experience preferred.
• Knowledge of monitors, sedation procedures, and wound care preferred.
• Competent with rhythm strip analysis and interpretation preferred.

$39.90-$55.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time, Monday-Friday 32-40 hours/week
