Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care is delivered following ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care and practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate nursing care, including collection and analysis of assessment data.
- Identify expected outcomes and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Implement interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate progress toward outcome attainment.
- Document the care process, ensuring sensitivity to age-specific and unique needs of the patient and family.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet patient and family needs throughout the episode of care.
- Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
- Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- 1 year of experience required.
Qualifications
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
Pay
Pay Range for Staff Nurse II: $34.00 - $46.75. Final compensation will be based on career ladder placement.
Schedule
- Night shift available: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., 12-hour shifts.
- Part-time: 24 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
