About the LDRP
Sentara Martha Jefferson's Women's Health includes L&D, and a 24 bed post-partum mother/baby. Our Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1 to 1 ratio while our intermediate care babies have a 1 to 3 nursing ratio. Our LDRP unit also offers post operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. This specialty area has a 100-member team cross trained to offer best in class healthcare to Charlottesville, VA, and surrounding areas. The schedule is primarily 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holiday requirements.

Schedule
- Full Time Nights: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday.
- Part Time Nights: Two 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday.
- Call Requirement: The required call is 16-24 hours per 6-week schedule.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing
- BSN or MSN Preferred
- Registered nursing license required
- 2 years of acute care registered nurse experience in Women's health preferred
- Experience in charge roles preferred
- Labor and Delivery specific Experience preferred
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols
- Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
- Communication with patients and providers
- Must want to work night shift
Certifications
- Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- EFM- Electronic Fetal monitoring preferred
- Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred
