About the role
The Women and Infants Services Department at Banner Ironwood Medical Center specializes in providing family-centered care. This department includes obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and lactation consultants. It offers 24-hour coverage and features private rooms for labor, delivery, and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
- Plans and coordinates care for patients, including the discharge plan, based on assessment data and patient/family input.
- Delegates tasks to other healthcare professionals and supervises their work.
- Evaluates patient progress and effectiveness of teaching.
- Communicates patient status to other healthcare providers and maintains accurate documentation.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of RN L&D experience.
- Part-time NIGHT shift position from 6:00PM to 6:30AM.
- 18% night shift differential and $3/hour weekend shift differential.
- Opportunity to utilize self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
