About the role
Provides direct nursing care in Labor and Delivery, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors care plans
- Communicates patient conditions
- Coordinates multidisciplinary care
- Follows physician and nursing orders
- Manages discharge planning
- Conducts comprehensive assessments
- Identifies patient issues
- Sets achievable goals
- Documents care
- Implements treatments
- Administers medications
- Educates patients and families
- Evaluates care effectiveness
- Coordinates actions with healthcare teams
- Delegates tasks
- Maintains documentation for continuity of care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Hold a valid Arizona Nursing License or eligible for licensure within 30 days
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a clinical setting
- Current BLS certification
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred
