Responsibilities
- Provide medical training and delegation for school staff (medication administration, chronic disease support, CPR/First Aid, MERT)
- Support chronic disease management (allergies, asthma, diabetes, seizures, mental health)
- Write and implement individualized plans of care
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate Medical Emergency Response Teams (MERT)
- Collaborate with school administration, teachers, PT/OT, speech, social work, CNAs, and fellow RNs
- Participate in 504 and IEP meetings
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) within 90 days of employment
- Pediatric, school nursing, acute care, ER, ICU, med-surg, public health, or related nursing experience preferred
- Experience working with or caring for children preferred
- Comfort caring for students with diabetes, asthma, allergies, seizures, and other chronic health conditions

You remain calm under pressure, can confidently take the lead during emergencies, and are comfortable supporting elementary-aged students with both routine and complex health needs.

Pay
$45,000 - 50,000 USD per year (Grand Rapids, MI)
Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Schedule follows the school calendar
