Registered Nurse - RN - School

Interim HealthCare® Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a School Nurse in Indianapolis, ensuring the health and well-being of students in a supportive and caring environment.

About the Role

As a trusted caregiver, mentor, and advocate, you will provide direct care, administer medications, manage health records, and collaborate with school staff and community resources to foster a safe and healthy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support students' well-being.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently.
• Compassionate communicator who values collaboration with students, staff, and families.
