Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) - Nights

About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a critical care setting, focusing on patients with complex medical conditions. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing nursing diagnoses, implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes to ensure high-quality treatment. The role includes coordinating care with patients, families, and healthcare teams, utilizing evidence-based practices, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. Additionally, the nurse evaluates discharge planning and resource utilization to support patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic assessments and reassessments tailored to patient age and condition
• Develop and analyze nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes involving patients and families
• Implement and coordinate care interventions using professional judgment and current best practices
• Evaluate patient progress through critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge
• Determine discharge needs and utilize resources for effective care transition
• Uphold professional standards and practice excellence

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN or MSN preferred
• Previous healthcare experience preferred; equivalent education and experience acceptable
• Current Oklahoma RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with ongoing maintenance
• New graduates must complete a nurse residency program
