Registered Nurse (RN)- Intensive Care Unit
About the role
This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit, an 8-bed ICU/Step-Down Unit. Nurses conduct complex assessments and provide intensive therapies and interventions to patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure, cardiac events, sepsis, metabolic disorders, complex surgical recoveries, and more. The role involves high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes, with collaboration and communication among healthcare team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex patient assessments and provide intensive therapies and interventions.
- Care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure, cardiac events, sepsis, metabolic disorders, and complex surgical recoveries.
- Provide high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collaborate, delegate, and communicate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
- OB, NICU RN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
- One year of recent RN experience preferred.
- Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency required for any RN assisting Laboring Women.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE). In addition to base pay, shift differentials or other incentives may apply.
