About the role

As an Intake & Assessment RN, you'll be part of a team providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults and senior citizens, including crisis stabilization, detoxification, and treatment for various mental health and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
  • Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A current state or compact state RN license.
  • An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
  • Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
  • Previous Behavioral Health Experience Required.
  • Previous Intake & Assessment Experience Preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults (18 and over) or geriatric patients experiencing mental illness and acute psychiatric crisis.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
