Registered Nurse RN - Infusion Clinic - Chabert - PRN
About the role
We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions; and maintaining involvement in activities aimed toward achieving unit and departmental strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Affirms learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and other group or discipline needs.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanations of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style.
Requirements
This job requires proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process are also necessary. Good organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to demonstrate good judgment and be self-directed, are preferred. Good interpersonal skills are also important.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- No work experience required.
- Certification in Clinical Specialty Area is preferred.
