Responsibilities
- Performs nursing assessments of the patient's physical, psychosocial and cognitive status considering age and development level.
- Formulates and documents individualized plans of care developed with the patient, family and health care team members.
- Demonstrates excellent IV skills and the ability to manage/maintain Venous Access Devices, such as pic lines and ports.
- Implements patient care in a manner consistent with the age of the patient, the plan of care and the changing needs of the patient.
- Documents patient care according to Hospital and Department standards.
- Evaluates patient care needs, determines priorities and directs nursing care as required for the delivery of quality patient care.
- Supervises the care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Able to problem solve and manage crisis, able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing patient care environment.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.

Days (8am-4:30pm)
Status Available
Part time, benefit eligible (48 hours per pay period – every two weeks)
No weekend or holiday requirements
Required Qualifications
- Requires current Michigan Nursing License
- Graduation from accredited nursing program
- Experience administering chemotherapy highly preferred
- Experience using EPIC preferred
- New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
