Registered Nurse (RN): Infusion

The MercyOne Genesis Infusion Center offers an outpatient and after-hours Infusion Center for patients needing infusion treatments.
Responsibilities
- Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for adolescent through aging outpatients undergoing treatment for cancer and other medical conditions.
- Performs assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
- Manages pain, symptoms associated with treatment and illness, and quality of life.
- Adheres to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA.
- Actively participates in quality monitoring.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred).
- Registered Nurse licensure in Iowa.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- ONS Certification preferred.
- No prior experience required.
Supervisory & Material Responsibilities
- Direction: The role requires accountability for scheduling, assigning, or coordinating work. Includes checking quality, providing guidance, instruction, training, and direction to others. Acts as group leader or in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role. May provide information or suggestions on human resources matters.
- Materials: Limited responsibility for material resources such as supplies, equipment, inventories, small budgets, and similar assets. Errors result in limited financial loss or waste. Problems are uncomplicated.

Schedule
- PRN (as needed) position.
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:40 PM.
- No weekends or holidays.
