Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Night Shift

About the role

The Cardiac Surgical/ICU (CSICU) at our facility is a four-bed unit that specializes in the care of adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care. The unit focuses on post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Directly cares for patients in the CSICU and CSU, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Provides complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring and post-operative recovery support.
• Collaborates with a cardiovascular educator to provide specialized care and education.
• Works in a team-oriented environment dedicated to enhancing patient experiences.

Requirements

• Must live within 50 miles of Tuscaloosa, AL.
• Must work 3/12 shifts weekly.
• Must have a Cardiac Surgical/ICU background.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate degree in nursing.
• Required: AHA BLS, AHA NIHOr, Red Cross certifications.
• Preferred: AHA PALS certification (if working in a pediatric unit).
