Registered Nurse (RN), ICU DH, Evening Night

About the role

Provides professional care and assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological & cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis & patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.
• Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
• Identifies patient's/significant other's learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.
• Captures and communicates patient progress to the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

• Current State of CT RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum six months of ICU experience, and/or cardio thoracic ICU, and/or 2 years of StepdownUnit experience.
• Control Hours: 36.00
• Work Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am. weekends and holidays as contracted.

Qualifications

• Nursing certification, BSN preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Pay

$46.30 - $67.77 hourly
