Job Summary
Registered Nurses provide health care for psychiatric and chemically dependent individuals by assessing needs and implementing appropriate nursing interventions of patients, determining if a physician's attention is necessary and following orders given by a physician to ensure patients' health care needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and implement nursing interventions.
- Determine if physician attention is necessary.
- Follow physician orders to meet patients' health care needs.
- Keep records and charts.
- Communicate information clearly and concisely.
- Operate medical equipment.
- Make reports on observations.
- Apply general nursing techniques and practices.
- Maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients.
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
- Deal effectively with patients and staff.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota.
- Nursing level will be determined based on education and experience.
Qualifications
- Professional nursing theory and practices.
- Recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment.
- Clinical procedures.

- Knowledge of clinical procedures.

Pay
- Salary: $34.26 - $40.27 Hourly, depending on qualifications.
- Shift Differential: $2.00 pm shift, $5.00 night shift, $1.50 weekend shift, $1.00 Geriatric pay, $2.00 Adolescent pay.
