Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor - Behavioral Health - PRN

About the role

TGH Behavioral Hospital seeks a House Supervisor (RN) to join its team. This role is part-time (PRN).

Responsibilities

• Assist the administration staff in overseeing and assisting all staff in all functions to ensure the provision of quality general and psychiatric care to patients.
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of staff in all CCD and nursing areas and assist the department managers with scheduling, education, and discipline of staff when needed.
• Involves in direct patient care, education and training, and participation in departmental and hospital meetings as assigned.
• Reviews documentation and works with staff to ensure that documentation is timely, accurate, and complete.
• The House Supervisor may also serve as a working RN and routinely executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• Additional requirements include CPR and de-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
