Registered Nurse - RN House Sup

About the Role

Registered Nurse - RN House Supervisor Weekend Day Shift opportunity at Maple Heights Behavioral Health. This position includes a $12,000 bonus and requires working Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, plus one scheduled weekday shift as a Floor RN.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations of the facility and ensure adequate staffing to provide care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments, and administration to meet residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs.
• Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
• Ensure proper staffing for each unit, including maintaining staff ratios, covering call-offs, and vacation time.
• Ensure chart checks, seclusion/restraint logs, nursing assessments, MARs, and report sheets are accurate and up to date.
• Complete rounds at the beginning of shift and perform random audits.
• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in orienting staff and ensuring competency in required duties, including coaching staff.
• Ensure facility compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
• Role model expectations related to customer service and patient safety.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes on patient care units.
• Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information.
• Document medical, behavioral health information, and nursing care.
• Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in updating and revising the plan of care as goals/objectives are met or when the patient's condition changes.
• Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Lead on shift for all admissions and discharges, and inform physicians of changes in patient conditions.
• Adjust staffing accordingly and utilize administrator-on-call for situations requiring additional attention.
• Provide direct care as needed.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required. Those enrolled in a BSN program with graduation expected within 18 months of hire may be considered.
• Current RN licensure.
• Behavioral Health/Psychiatric nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience.

Licenses/Certifications
