Registered Nurse, RN- Hospice On Call, Full time

7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule with full-time pay and benefits. This position services hospice clients in Ocean and Monmouth counties, NJ.

About the role

As a hospice nurse (RN), you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home. On-call hours are 5:00 PM – 8:30 AM Monday–Thursday and 5:00 PM Friday – 8:30 AM Monday, every other week (26 weeks per year).

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions; report changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NJ.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Pay

Base pay: $46–$47 per hour, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation.

Schedule

• 7 nights on / 7 nights off.
