Registered Nurse, RN- Hospice On Call, Full time

7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule: 5pm–8:30am Monday–Thursday and Friday 5pm–Monday 8:30am every other week (26 weeks per year). Full-time pay and benefits.

About the role

BAYADA Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Toms River, NJ office. This role serves hospice clients on a per-visit basis in Ocean and Monmouth counties. As a hospice RN, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing palliative care to clients, enabling them to receive necessary medical care while remaining at home.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions; report changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call shifts after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Pay

Base pay: $46–$47 per hour, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation.

Schedule

• On-call shifts: 5pm–8:30am Monday–Thursday and Friday 5pm–Monday 8:30am.
• Every other week (26 weeks per year).
