Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time | Nights - Medical ICU
Job Description
The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System is responsible for providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the MS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. The position requires a graduate from an NLN School of Nursing, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi, and relevant certifications as per the Specialty Areas.
- BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
- Certifications for specific specialties within 12 months of beginning work in the area.
- De-escalation training completed within 90 days of position orientation.
- One (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred.
Qualifications
The Registered Nurse must be able to work schedules assigned with the understanding that changes may be instituted according to the needs of the hospital for off days, shifts or weekends. They must also demonstrate keen mental faculties, assessment and decision-making abilities, superior communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
