Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time | Nights - Medical ICU
Job Description
The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System is responsible for providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the MS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. The position requires a minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferably within the past five (5) years, and must have completed and maintained BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer. Additionally, RNs in certain specialties are required to hold specific certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and others.
Requirements
- Graduate from an NLN School of Nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi
- Current BCLS certification upon hire
- Required certifications in relevant specialties (Cath Lab – ACLS, Cardiac Rehab – ACLS, etc.)
- De-escalation training completed by 90 days
- Experience in inpatient settings
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Nursing Process and MS Nurse Practice Act
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong decision-making and assessment skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service and professional etiquette
- Proficient in using computers and other office technology
