Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time | Nights - Emergency Room Services

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who assists patients in achieving, maintaining, and restoring health through the application of the Nursing Process.

Education

Graduate from an NLN School of Nursing.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• All RNs are required to complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• RNs working in certain specialty areas are required to complete and maintain additional certifications as listed.

Experience

A minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred, within the past five (5) years, or evidence of successful refresher program.

Reports To

To Patient Care Manager.

Supervises

• LPNs
• Patient Care Assistants
• Unit Technicians

Physical Demands

• Moderately active work involving sitting with frequent movement.
• Erectile force exerted occasionally.
• Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Close visual acuity and ability to adjust focus.
• Extended periods of activity without undue fatigue.
• Ability to work various shifts including weekends.
