Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to residents in the Health Care Center through assessment, planning, implementation, and reevaluation of resident needs.
- Carry out and interpret policies, procedures, local, state, and federal regulations in the Health Care Center.
- Directs care given by Certified Nurse Assistants.
- Affirms resident rights.
- Delivers emotional and spiritual support to residents, families, and other staff as needed.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Maintains a clean, safe, homelike atmosphere and respects the individuality of each resident.
- Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; follows Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
- Attends in-service and education programs.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum two years' experience in similar environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large team.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Point Click Care or similar systems.
- Experience in long-term care or assisted living recommended.
- Knowledge of monitoring medication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
