About the role

Eventide is currently hiring for a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for a Night shift 6p-6:30a (12 Hours). This position has an every third weekend and holiday rotation. The scheduled days for this position are SuTW - MTF - MTSa. Tabitha is now Eventide.

Ideal Candidate

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred
  • RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required
  • CPR Required
  • Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee
  • Must meet Eventide's vaccination requirements

Responsibilities

  • Follows through on physician's orders in accordance with Eventide's policies and procedures. If appropriate, receives and records physician's orders.
  • Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes Senior/client, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
  • Assesses seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and provides follow-up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
  • Diligently observes Senior/client skin per Eventide's policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
  • Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the Senior's/client's medical record in a timely manner according to Eventide's policies and procedures. With particular attention to accuracy and timeliness, follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
  • Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to Seniors/clients.
  • Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
  • Provides supervision and education to Seniors/clients for the self-administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the Senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the Senior/client to return to his/her home.
  • Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Updates the plan based on changes in the Senior/client physical and/or emotional state.

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $36-$40.32 per hour for RN's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
