About the role

The RN works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. This role involves working in various settings within Riverside Health System, including Critical Care/Telemetry.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served in the Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments.
  • Partners with patients and families to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care, treatments, and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
  • Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluates for patient comprehension and documents.
  • Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and ensures patient care needs are met.
  • Able to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  • Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified systems to meet those needs.
  • Focuses on quality outcomes of patient care when addressing customer's needs, including current evidence-based practice and quality measures.

Requirements

  • Education: RN Degree
  • Experience: At least 1 year of Critical care experience (Highly Preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - State Department of Health Professions (Required); CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required); ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required within 90 days of hire); PALS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required within 120 days of hire).

Qualifications

  • Competence in dealing with age-related needs of specific patient populations served in the Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments.
  • Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
