Registered Nurse (RN) - Float
Employment Type: Part time – 24 hrs per week. Full days required. Travel to offices in Albany, Troy and Clifton Park with 10% travel pay.

Responsibilities
- Bring patients to exam room, take appropriate vital signs, and document in the electronic medical record.
- Review and update medication lists to ensure accuracy and completeness in the EMR for provider review and submission.
- Complete referrals and track patients' compliance.
- Review prescriptions electronically and send them to providers for review and submission.
- Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by the provider.
- Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics.
- Retrieve telephonic clinical information from patients who call into the office.
- Monitor task lists and complete tasks assigned by providers in a timely manner based on urgency.
- Educate patients regarding medication, testing procedures, and home care techniques.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation for patient specimens.
- Follow up with patients regarding test results based on advice given by the provider.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including disinfecting patient care areas and equipment.
- Maintain the medical supply cabinet and drug cabinet in conjunction with other nursing colleagues.
- Use the electronic medical record to communicate effectively.
- Perform quality assurance duties as assigned.
- Provide a clinical visit summary (Patient Plan) to patients as requested, including educational materials.
- Participate in daily Patient Care huddles as appropriate.
- Work cooperatively with all colleagues to ensure quality patient care at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; HS Diploma/equivalent required.
- Current unencumbered NYS RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- 6 months of previous RN experience.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
Pay
Pay Range: $36.00 - $47.52 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary based on location.
