About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool provides safe, age-appropriate patient care across various units and specialties, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. This role serves as an advisor and resource for patients and families while supporting staffing needs in multiple departments and maintaining high-quality care standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, age-appropriate patient care across diverse units and specialties.
- Act as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
- Support staffing needs in multiple departments, ensuring continuity of care.
- Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in patient care.
- Participate in a flexible schedule, including weekend shifts and holidays.
Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in multiple departments.
- Critical care experience.
Qualifications
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Preferred certifications: NRP and PALS (for specific units).
- Strong professional knowledge and ability to apply nursing theory in practice.
- Excellent communication skills.
