Registered Nurse (RN) Fellow Neuro ICU

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Fellow to join the NSICU. This position is for an experienced RN transitioning to the NSICU. (October 2026 Critical Care Fellowship).

Responsibilities

• Treatment of complex neurological patients including (but not limited to): Ischemic & Hemorrhagic Strokes, Intracranial Hemorrhages, Seizures & Status Epilepticus, Cerebral Edema & Secondary Brain Injury, Brain Tumors, Neuromuscular Disorders, Post-interventional & neuro-surgical patients.
• Average Length of Stay (LOS): 4.3 days.
• RN/Patient Ratio: 1:2.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year of RN experience.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required (AHA).
• Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
