About the role

Delivers Nursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives.

Responsibilities

• Communicates the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team;
• Counsels patients, families, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills;
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care standards; reviewing patient records; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives; modifying nursing care plan.

Requirements

• Active license in the state of practice;
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing;
• Experience working in a clinical environment (1-3 years preferred).

Qualifications

• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties;
• Ability to communicate effectively with others;
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
