Registered Nurse (RN) - Employee Health Services, PRN

About the role

Provides comprehensive assessments, interventions, and treatments for emergent and non-emergent patients in a fast-paced primary/urgent care setting. Operates independently as a clinical leader, collaborating with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure efficient patient flow, quality care, and timely interventions. Acts as a community resource, educator, advocate, and consultant, triaging patients based on physical, psychological, and social needs. Maintains compliance with organizational standards and embodies compassionate patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient, patient-centered care across all ages, utilizing advanced knowledge of disease, medications, and procedures.
• Perform accurate triage, initiate tests, and collaborate on patient management, especially for emergent cases.
• Educate patients and families, assess learning needs, and coordinate outpatient testing and follow-up.
• Ensure proper documentation, billing, medication safety, and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, mentor new team members, and promote team development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing with a current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the practicing state.
• No prior experience required.

Skills

• Knowledge of patient equipment (Vitals, Suction, Defib), IV and phlebotomy skills.
• Critical thinking, independence, and excellent communication skills.
