Responsibilities
- Administers employee physicals, screenings, and immunizations in accordance with policy and OSHA regulations.
- Evaluates, documents, and manages work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Maintains confidential and accurate employee health records.
- Provides guidance and follow-up regarding workers’ compensation and return-to-work status.
- Collaborates with HR, Infection Control, and other departments on employee-related health matters.
- Advises on exposure incidents and communicable disease management.
- Participates in audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Prepares reports and maintains documentation to support employee health activities.
- Responds to emergent employee health needs and coordinates referrals when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, and occupational health best practices.
- Proficiency in electronic medical recordkeeping and confidentiality practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform frequent walking, standing, and manual tasks.
- Must be able to respond to alarms, interpret instructions, and communicate effectively in person or via phone.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (Preferred).
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice (Required upon hire).
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within facility-specified time frame (Required upon hire).
- Prior experience in occupational health, infection control, or employee wellness programs (Preferred).
