Registered Nurse - RN - Emergency Room
About the Role
In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.
Responsibilities
- Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
- Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
- Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience (ideal candidate).
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire).
Preferred: Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training.
Pay
Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $36.15 – $59.95/hour. Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience.
Schedule
- Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Night Shift - 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Rotating weekends and holidays
