Part-time position scheduled for 24 hours per week, primarily on the night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Occasional opportunities for alternative 12-hour shift assignments may be available based on department needs.
About the role
The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who provides care in Trinity Health Ann Arbor’s 54-bed Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department, treating over 90,000 patients annually across all age groups. The ED offers a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify care plans under limited supervision.
- Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to expertise.
- Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- Provide care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
- Serve patients of all age groups (Infant through Older Adults).
Requirements
- Current Michigan Nursing License.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Nurses without a BSN must commit in writing to completing the degree within five years of hire; support for obtaining the BSN is provided.
